manifold question
so i made a trade today(old motorla tn20 gps for a manifold and complete intercooler piping) and im really not sure what kind of manifold it is...idk if its made by a company or just homade..

i dont know anythin about turbo stuff so this is neww territorty to me..

i was told its for a t3/t04 turbo...dont know what tha looks like
and has an 38mm external wastegate port on it...onto pics...

when i first got it home...all rusty

after a lil wire brushing to clean it up..
.

any thought guys?decent?

The stock one would prob work better. The wastegate placement is far from ideal, and the cylinder pairing leaves a lot on the table.

It looks sorta home-brew. My kinda thing. Looks like mig welding, and not too bad either. Looks like the turbo would sit in a near-factory location, easy to work on. Its a start, even if it isn't ideal.

i agree with coheed, the wastegate, position cylinder pairing and the collector definitly leaves alot to be desired, the 1 good thing isee about the manifold, is that this will allow you to run a t3/t4 turbo instead of the t2 series, so that is a plus, but the design leaves ALOT to be desired, but it is a start

I think all the though that went into that manifold was, weld this pipe to here and this to here and this too here...ooo look a manifold. Obviously it will work if everything clears the block but as for flow characteristics and the pairing of the cylinders this is blah.
