I think a GT42R is fine with a VE-T, but make sure you have the RPM's (i'd say atleast 9,000) to make the power.

Show pics of the inside of the runners. The outside means only a portion, the inside tells the other half of the story.

Like I said, not bad for first effort, but that quality isn't worthy of being sold in my opinion.

Yes I will agree the welds are by no means perfect, but I never claimed they were nor did I ever say I was a professional welder. Anyway no I didn't back purge and yes I have built many manifolds and none of them have cracked.... not once..... so I will say I'm not worried. Thanks for telling me what has already been said!

i think the manifolds look good of course when you have 2 fabricators you are going to get differences in work ethics and styles of procedures, ect... so every fabricator is going to do some things the same and some thing different.

but i think the manifold looks good

So, I suppose your opened to people's opinions as long as their opinion is fully positive?

I was under the impression you were a professional welder, because your selling your product are you not? I was merely giving you tips to improve your weld quality, but I suppose you already know everything.

So, to further help, I wanted to point something out for you.

In this pic, the front left runner has an orange haze around this. This is a strong indication of a brittle weld resulting from a contaminated tungsten. You likely dipped the tungsten there due to welding between the runners in the tight location. Your best bet is to jig the mani, then work the runners to get into those tight areas easier.

I'm merely trying to help you out man, your attitude isn't necessary.

No we are not trying to cop an attitude.... And selling the manifold??? We were seeing what kind of interest we might have. This mani was made for me alone, production would see something a little different if we ever did it at all!!!! This is my custom EQL mani, perfection was not the goal in a design we did in one afternoon... Your criticism is fine, I just don't care about it cause we are not selling this manifold

You mention here you're possibly going to produce this manifold...

Here again, you mention the possibility of selling a manifold similar to the one discussed in this thread...

Also it is currently flanged for a T3, but that is something obviously we can adjust and also whatever wastegate you would want could be done....

Here you're now talking about pricing for the EL manifold, further indicating that you're planning on reproducing/selling it.

Yet again, mentions of reproduction...

There was a great deal of interest expressed in the manifold, and the fact that the 4th runner was 2" short. so i took it apart and made the manifold equal length. The manifold "IS" equal length. We are out to provide an affordable solution to other company's products!

Here you state that there has been a great deal of interest, which further substantiates the possibility of reproduction, as you've previously indicated. You're also still mentioning cost, via "affordable solution".

So now this manifold is jigged up, priced, etc., and definitely sounds like it's in pre-production mode.

So now, with all of the above statements that have been made, you're likely not even going to produce the manifold? I'm sorry, but I'm a bit confused here, as I'm sure others are as well.

Please don't take offense to my multiple quote reply, I'm just trying to understand what's going on here. From all previous posts, it sure seems like you're planning on mass producing this manifold, and now in the last post by you, you're not going to produce this manifold?
