need help with turbochargin my VE
Hey guys im new to this forum. My name is Jaegher-leigh and I'm from south africa. I drive a 00 sentra with a sr20ve motor. Most of guys are pros and i need help. I want to turbocharge my engine but with stock internals. I dont know much about engines. What stuff do I need in order to do this? Plus, what is the best turbo for the VE. Thanx

With stock internals you will be limited to low amounts of power.
If that is your plan, get a VET exhaust manifold and put on a GT2871 (or similar size) turbo.

You'll need all the normal turbo stuff too. I'm not going to go over that here. You'll have to hang out and read turbo tech for the better part of a year before you'll be ready to buy a single part.

if money isnt a problem why settle for standard internals?

try using the search button. you will find there is lots of useful information on this site and then you can ask better question which will give better answers. there are enough people with ve-t set ups around. You can boost the stock internals but your tune better be spot on or your motor goes boom. water/meth injection with a real stand alone and you can make big power on a stock ve.

If you plan to push 400 and drive it often, change your pistons and rods. Also if you want to have any real fun with your VE. Get springs and retainers so you can push the revs over 8k safely.

After that its just a matter of what you want to throw at it.

if you want to stay simple and dont really know much about the motor then just do a basic set up. low boost maybe 8 to 9 pounds and call it a day. dont mess with internals if you dont know how to do it yourself

What do you guys consider low amounts of power? They can safely hold 350-400 whp and more if tuned right. The stock VE can hold a lot more than what people think.

This is just like people saying not to boost 10:1 motors.

My dudes car back home 11.9 @ 119 mph on radials and it made 348 whp with no issues at all on a small 50 trim t3t4 at 13 psi. Car is going back to the dyno on a bigger turbo with more boost soon. 100% stock VE.
