td05 on a avenir/gtir manifold?
so, after deciding i have too many turbo fwd parts laying around, and a extra chassis to play with now....ive decided to put all my big turbo parts/gtir motor back in my ser, instead of the nx2000. but im still wanting to boost the nx, retaining my fog lights and ac....found a intercooler thats going to work. BUT my main question here is, i know people have been using mitsubishi turbos on our cars succesfully. what manifold are people using? i wanted to use a avenir manifold, maybe a gtir. I have a fresh 14b td05, and i was going to get the td05 to t2 adapter plate, along with a mitsubishi eclipse style screamer pipe. i wanted to know if anyone has tried anything like this, and is there any clearance issues? Looking at the td05, it looks like it will naturally be farther away from the block....maybe a 1/4 inch so more than something like a t25. BUT as id be using an adapter plate, it would sit down maybe a 1/2 inch more. im wondering if there will be interference between the compressor/wastegate and the bellhousing? just brainstorming right now. im sure someone has some input....sorry for the longwinded explanation, just wanted to sound coherent.

well, looks like a gtir mani wont work....mocked it up today, the manifold tucks to clos to the block. do the avenir//bluebird manifolds have a diffrent turbo position? maybe a rwd one will work. have to see.

Don't waste your money on a custom setup for that turbo. Get a t25/t28 and call it a day. Too much fab just to "throw" it back together.
