my brothers car wont go past 3500 RPM while driving or just at a stand still.
revs up very slowly. we have no clue what is causing this/these issues.

i've swpped ECUs and MAFs with working conditon ones.

boost leak, check your intercooler piping.

clear cut case of boost leak. gah! i hate boost leaks!!! last time i was trying to pass someone and i hit it hard and it just bogged down, had to limp home , stuttered the same way after 3k rpms.

got home and my hose on the cold side had came off.

Is it blowing black smoke from the tail pipe when you accelerate?

also check your tps.

Boost leak or your maf wiring has a open in it and the car is in limp mode. You should start by checking the ecu codes just to make sure. Then check your intercooler piping and idle air hose to make sure you have no leaks.
