Bluebird MAF Question
Hi all,

My Bluebird has been running rich and idling bad since I put in my 370cc injectors. I tried adjusting the iacv in timing mode but it hasn't made a difference. Some people have told me it could be the MAF since its running really rich. So I checked the MAF and its not even the Bluebird MAF. Its the 91-99 200SX MAF Part # 53J01. So I want to change this to see if this is the problem.

I was wondering if a B13 SER MAF (53J00) would be more suitable than the MAF I currently have or would it be better if I just bought a GTIR/Bluebird MAF (54C00)?

Thanks

What type of ECU are you using? Stock DET, JWT, Calum?

If on a stock DET ECU you need a DET MAF, period. Another DE MAF will not suffice.

what he said^^^ whatever ecu you have has to match the injecters and the maf and the compression of the motor if it does not then your car will never run right

Alright I see. I'm currently running the U13 stock ECU.That's what I thought. I'm just asking because I saw some threads where people were saying that the B13 SER MAF can work for the Bluebird.

Well maybe if the B13 SER MAF was bored, you could use it.

The DET MAF is 290hp. The DE MAF is 250hp IIRC. You would need to bore the DE MAF in order to match it as a DET MAF.

Ahhh, I see. Alright well, I guess it makes more sense to go ahead and either find a bluebird or pulsar MAF. Thanks for the help!
