Since when is power all about looking pretty? As long as everything is functional, on a budget set up like that, why bother wasting time to make it pretty? In true sleeper style, less bling under the hood gets less scrutiny on the track and the street. Also, it is theft deterent, lol. I say props on being different. I know it has been done more than once, just because it doesn't get posted up here, doesn't mean it hasn't been done

Ditto, plus the looks on peoples faces when they come pulling up next to you and laughing cuz you drive a "****box sentra" then you dump the clutch and roast em through 3rd.... expressions on their face is priceless

I'll try and answers everyone's questions.

First of all. It's not pretty. I know. It's built to work, and that it does. The clear tubing works fine. And as previously stated if I should choose to clean up the install I can do that now that I know it works functionally.

Alright On the the Q & A:

I'm running around 8 psi right now, with a boost leak that I have to fix. No idea on power, but it holds with an STI from a roll though 2nd and 3rd.

That guy is an external wastegate. It's for capping boost so I can pulley the charger for maximum speed and then dial back from there. Gives me change on the fly boost using a MBC or EBC just like a turbo.

The fans are pusher fans, they mount quite nicely just infront of the rad with a few mm to spare.

No I was not posting a year or two ago. That was a sentra that has since been taken apart and is up for sale if anyone wants to get a similar setup as mine.

Yes there is a mani gasket in there, but a cheap ebay one so I wanted to make sure.

No tune yet, running a calum basic with base tune for 370's @ 4bar e60 maf

Think thats it for now, If you have any more q's post em up. I'll post some 1/4 mile times this weekend to give an idea of power. For what it's worth the car ran 15.2 before the super went on.

P.S. I'm surprised no one picked up on the projectors. They are from a J30.

Very cool. VERY different. When do you plan on dynoing it? Are you going to upgrade cams?

No plans to upgrade cams as of now. Don't want to crack the motor open really. Taking it to the dyno after I get a real time tuning solution. Probably next year some time, unless an opportunity jumps out this fall.

I will say that the tune that Calum provides is pretty good stock. It was hard for me to gain any whp over what the basic tune got me.

Interesting on the wastegate idea, didn't think it was possible on a SC

wait a minute. did you break the projectors + the housing out of the J30 headlight and put it into the NX? If so, good f'n work.

Yes Its the whole headlight assembly out of the J30. Cut out a lot of the material around the stock headlights to make them fit, then made my own mounting tabs. The Projectors have a lot of internal adjustment so they were forgiving that way. HID's completes that setup. I would never go back to the stock NX housing. The light output and beam pattern is a real hazard when driving at night.

If you have any photos of the J30 install, I'd love to see them, as MK3 headlights are expensive as bawlz, so any alternative would be a welcomed sight!

The J30's arn't much better. The wreckers wanted 100 a piece. I didn't pay that but they still cost a bit!

I don't really have any photos of it. I did it a while ago. Basically if you removed your headlights from your nx and look at the holes for the stock housing, you have to cut all the sheet metal out from the upper rad support to the bumper.

I'll get around to taking some pics.
