
well, finally decided to bite the bullet on the nx i bought off here.....came with a clean gtir motor, with low compression on one cyln. VERY low compression. think it has a broken ring land. today, ill know for sure. taking it apart right now in the car to see how bad things are. Anybody know how many external 10mm bolts are on the outside holding the head down? ive got 3 of them, 2 by the motor mount, 1 underneath the exaust manifold. other than that, its a clean motor. by the way, what compression SHOULD i have? i got 160 on all 3 good cyls.....i thought thats what it was supposed to be, other people with good gtir motors claim they have 175. anybody know for sure?
