Which clutch for boost ?
I never really liked the clutch I have which is JGY pressure plate and custom 6puck unsprung disc. Thinking about getting rid of this sometime. I would like to get back to sprung disc but I kept breaking them.

What clutch do you have? What power are you putting down? Are you happy with it?

I have an ACT Xtreme w/a 6 puck sprung ACT disc. I've only got 20 miles or something on it, but for being such a heavy duty plate, it's extremely driveable. I have to tell you that I went through 3 clutchnets where the springs in the disc exploded, or the diaphragm fingers broke. They replaced the first two, and after the third one went, it wasn't worth the time under the car to keep swapping it out. After that I went to a six puck sprung that was a spec knockoff made by a little company called Kentucky Clutch. It was nice to drive and put up with the 287whp that I was putting down at the time. Just my $0.02.

I am running a sintered iron solid hub disc with a 2000lb pp. It grabs the power nicely, but will slip if provoked. I think it will hold about 350 tq on the shift, and about 450 if you keep the pedal up.

It grabs pretty hard, but on 22psi the other day it slipped a little in 4th before heating up and grabbing, but I had to let off a bit before getting back on it.

I really like it though. With an ACT HD pp it should grab hard enough to hold 500lbs of torque easily. The 2000lb pp feels like stock too Very light pedal effort, and the sintered iron doesn't chatter like I've heard. It is grabby, but slips from a light just fine. Occasional squeeking from the clutch, but that's the only compromise.

My JGY pressure plate and custom disc make a "goose" sound whenever I downshift and it gets annoying. I know it's not the tranny because I just recently put a B15 with a brand spaking new throwout bearing this is another reason I want to get rid of this clutch kit.

ideally something sprung would be nice for boost, but some issues can arise, i use the fx400 its a great clutch never any issues with it

I wish we were all so lucky. This sintered iron grabs well, but won't hold more than 350lbs torque unless I really baby it.

I try to save the tranny by slightly slipping the clutch on gearshifts, but I can tell that it is nearly to its limits. Need a heavier pp now lol.

I ordered the Gspec stage 4 clutch kit but Greg sent me the stage 3 kit instead by accident. I didn't realize the mistake until after I installed it so I decided to see how it would hold up. So far, I'm very satisfied.

I make 303 WHP and 237 WTQ.
