you have a very good point and you are very right. Not many VE guys are gonna just toss in for a manifold. My buddy is going to on his VE so testing will have to wait. I have a chosen runner length i want to use for it as well as long as clearance will not be an issue. This is something we will work out later.

This manifold im promoting and doing the group buy for is more for turbo de's and ve's. I can guarantee this manifold will make more power over the stock mani and throttle body. That is not hard to tell. Increase efficiency by increasing plenum capacity and runner size, length and flow and you will gain power.

As the saying goes you will never hear an SR owner say my stock manifold is awesome.

Its been a proven and tested thing that any decent custom manifold will make great gains over the stock one. Hell even the 140.00 cast greddy look alike for my buddies s13 swapped 240 we just put on was a very noticable gain on even the small t25 at stock boost. Boost response was even more instant. There is no lag on it at all no matter where your at and he is still using a stock throttle body.

Take the 68mm TB and ditch it for a 90mm and your set to go for some power not to mention the design of this manifold matches very well with some proven specs for manifolds that make very good power and have been proven. Ill get the dyno numbers soon on my car but that should stop others from trying it for themselves as well i mean for this price hell you gain 20hp which i can see even more than that even on a t25/28 setup not to mention big turbo cars then its well worth the money to me for a bolt on mod.

I agree, a turbo manifold is much easier to make, large plenum, decent size runners and proper runner length for the desired rpm gains. A manifold could be produced without having to worry as much about intake velociry because the air is already being forced in past the valves and into the combustion chamber. It is pretty hard to make a turbo intake manifold and not increase power somewhere in the powerband. The stock manifold is quite restrictive as ashton already mentioned. These manifolds designed for a turbo engine will make power and they will sell, when and how much still remains to be seen.

with a NA manifold can we not look at say a k20 or b18 aftermarket for an idea on manifold designs specs? i would be down for picking one of these up if we as a community could come up with a good guesstimate for one for NA power.

Looks like the intake manifold I had for my Rb. It looked good on the out side untill I put my finger into the intake runners. That's when I felt a huge lip at the surface mating points. The part where he cut the stock manifold and welded on the pipe. Air coming into the motor would lose it's velocity as it had to roll over the lip and down into head. Also noticed that the "velocity stacks" weren't like any I have ever seen before. I mean all the ones I have seen in manifolds have a rolled lip on the outside of them.

I can't tell on Ashtons if the lip is there or if he tried to port it out himself. Still kinda looks like it's still there.

No its there on mine, Again this is why i said i was going to be doing some porting work to it to clean it up some. its not a huge lip but there is some imperfections on it like i said but nothing a porting bit cant handle. It will smoothen out nice once done.

hence why i said that its a good thing the runners are straight makes porting out lips like that easy. the runners could use porting anyhow so its really not a problem

i did some work today on it, cleaned up the throttle body flange area and just gotta finish up the ports. I was feeling in there after some work and its not bad at all. fitment should be great. Ill let you guys know and take some more pics after the finished work is done.
