but wouldnt the nistune type 4 board work, since its for b14's.. well pre 96's anyway.. but i think the only diff would be obd2, so maybe the wiring would be the same or similar?

Maybe a nistune would work. How much they run? A full tune is about $400 around here to get it spot on with dyno time included.

I would be willing to go that route provided I have the funds. After all, if the car can make 500whp with a tune it is worth a shot huh?

Compression check numbers. Keep in mind, this is a cold motor with 20w50 oil and a very low cranking power battery.

110 95 110 95

The same numbers I pretty much get every time I check it when cold. My friend makes over 750awhp on lower numbers than this so I know it is not the issue now. On my stock VE warm I put out 175psi across the board, perhaps my gauge reads slightly low as well. Motor is toast?

BTW thanks for reading guys.

Oh i didn't know i'm just going by what i was told. I never used JWT i always ran the stock ECU with the emanage. Gregory told me he tried to use the AFC and it wouldn't work with his JWT ecu.

If I could hold 375lb ft to 7K I would hit my goal of 500whp. I just gotta find out why it is dropping so quick. Maybe adding more timing in that area would help out?

The same numbers I pretty much get every time I check it when cold. When warmed up I see about 140-145psi. The numbers show that the motor is in pretty good shape. My friend makes over 750awhp on lower numbers than this so I know it is not the issue now. On my stock VE warm I put out 175psi across the board, perhaps my gauge reads slightly low as well.

So that leaves out the motor as the culprit. Could still be crank pressure, and I will address that soon as well.

Those compression numbers are no good my friend how many times i would have to tell you no matter what you change to your setup your HP numbers donT change that means your motor its not responding to the modifications even with a bad tune you should see a small increase in power due to the better VE that the parts you are adding create..... And that its not your case... you keep stuck on the same numbers your motor its producing power like a DE not like an VE like it should... Your motor should be well over 500 whp at that psi level even with a bad tune....
