you just loosen the bolts that hold the compressor and turbine housing and turn it lol

Its very easy to make a small modification that stops the turbo from fitting the block. I have been doing this for about 10 years now.

All you have to do is shave the T25 flange side on the GTIR manifod by 3/8 inch. By doing this youy lift the turbo up and also away from the block. Not even the 3 inch inlet will touch.

Do you happen to have the thread or pics of this being done and the difference in clearance?

I wasnt sure if it would un balance it or anything though. I'm still relatively new to turbos... going on 1 year for a turbo'd car in December. Thanks though!

Alright, I'm just curious about the ATP bracket. I was clocking my turbo today and it still wont fit with the stock bracket. How does the ATP bracket go on the turbo? Does anyone have any pictures or anything of it actually in the car? The picture they give on the website is kind of "iffy" I cant tell which way the bends are, and if it will either pull the wastegate further away or pull it closer.....

Anyways, heres what my bracket looks like, let me know if that ATP bracket will work.... Thanks

thats not even the right waste gate. the one that fits the gt series turbo on a fwd sr20 has a straight rod. I had to buy a new waste gate and bracket when I got my gt28rs.

looks like this

no thats a jgy bracket. I modified it so it would fit the gt28r and the gt28rs. I was going to buy the atp bracket but they had some sort of issue with getting them made. in fact the unit you listed is a new version but not as nice as the billet piece they orignially offered.

Does JGY sell that bracket anymore? Or would my best bet be to go with the ATP bracket?

Also, all I need to do is get a straight rod wastegate?
