Replacement part for T25 turbo non existent
I went back to finishing reassembling a T25 I rebuilt and realized I forgot the turbine heat shield, the metal cover plate that goes between the CHRA and the turbine wheel. There was a bunch of really hard carbon deposits on it, and upon closer inspection and cleaning, the center hole had actually been eroded or melted away. Time for a new one.
The problem is, I've looked everywhere and nowhere I've looked seems to have a replacement turbine heat shield. Pics to make sure you guys know what I'm talking about:
as you can see, there are replacement heat shields for other turbos, but it seems like the Garrett T25 isn't in luck in this department. Can't find a single site that sells these things for the Garrett T25.
If anyone has a hook up, or a decent condition one from a throwaway T25, please let me know.
