No, it doesn't. Daily driving a 400+whp monster is no big deal.

pull the motor out and rebuild it and you will be fine.

i thing the probs with arp studs has more to do with tuning than the studs.

i have used both arp sets and golden eagle. if cylinder pressure gets to high your head will lift .

the gtir uses bigger bolts i would get arp studs for the gtir . arp sells low grade sets and
higher grade studs for more money and foot work

i call bull shi t on det 600hp de 500 hp

i know i put down 350 with a de for a year steped it up over 400 killed it bent the rods causing uneaven bearing wear

det did 400 2 months killed ring lands

yes agressive tuning did kill my engines .

hone that gtir block . instal mahale pistons and acl bearings . beat the living shi t of it every day

---------------------

agressive tuning as in what, aggressive fuel maps, aggressive ignition maps or what. what were you using to tune your engine

i run the arp headstuds and have had no issues with them for over 7k miles, not a problem...

mmmm. yeah when you bend a rod and burn ring langs your tuning was messed up. detonation will kill a motor making 90whp

I too dislike it because of scarcity/high price of parts, hassle for getting parts, one-off pieces that can be hard to replace in a pinch, etc.
I'm also not a huge fan of the ITBs.

i am not saying a de cant make 500whp

he is asking what engine to use for 450whp . why advise him to use the de at its limit when he has a gtir

i have a calum basic in one car and real time in another

i was trying to relay real world problems to him. when my 350whp de had a maf malfuntion it bent the rods

poor fuel quality killed my det.

its not a perfect world i have had severe detination events with the mahale pistons and eagle rods and all is well

arp studs are a great budget head stud that are alot stronger than stock for a simalar price
