how much psi!!
Hey what's goin on guys... got a few questons to ask..
First question is can I run a oem bov open and not back into the intake?
Second question is how much psi can I run safely on a gti-r turbo?

Here's my setup:
Sr20de+t (stock motor)
Gti-r t-28 turbo and manifold
S15 444cc inj.
N60 maf
S4 cams
Calum ecu
Nismo fpr at 4 bar
Greddy manual boost controller

Thanks guys!

Yes you can run Open BOV, make sure you have your MAF setup in Draw Through setup.

I believe I saw about 16 psi is the maximum save, but it could be more.

I wouldn't run a stock blow off valve open.

I wouldn't either.

And you can run eleventy billion PSI.

16~17psi is probably all it will support, though.

You cant run the OEM valve open, the car will not idle.

We ran 18psi on one of our GTiR swaps. Ran it the whole night at 18psi, car still drives today with no smoke, daily psi is set @ 12psi.

18 psi max is what we say on the T28 but that's on stock cams (and all relative).
On S4s I wouldn't run more than 12 psi or so.

Basically the turbo is good for 320 WHP or about that. Once you hit that, you're in trouble no matter what psi you're running. Same goes for above 18 psi. Above that and you're in trouble now matter what power you're making.

You'll run out of injector before you run out of turbo on your setup.
