Thread: Ve head

Im getting a ve head for my DET and i know there is a right up somewhere on the forum about what to do to fit it to the DET block could someone please point out the thread please.

thanks the exact thread i was looking for. Now i also understand why i couldn't find it

i am almost certain that the oil pressure sender oil port is before the oil filter so do not use it as your head oil source . any minor debris or bearing wear will cause major head wear when it could be captured by the oil filter.

where would be the best place to get the oil source frm?

i got mine from the oil filter housing

might be able to use wes's oil filter sandwich adaptor on the other forum in the for sale section? I have one to put a sender to but I doubt there'd be an issue with tapping it for an oil source?

i remember a ve head thread were they taped the block directly below the head in the stock de det head oil passage

i took out the factory oil psi sender and then made a distribution block and it works great i got, then i put in oil psi and temp, factory oilpsi back and the inlet for it
