gtirwezz, will you sell me your rnn14 solid lifters? I got dibs if you will.

i was saying that the ve head is better flowing than the gtir head, and thats not to say the he could be getting the ve head reworked and on top of that making the ve head flow even more......i know there is no need for it, i just dont know his setup yet and he could be possibly getting some headwork done or whatever

I will see if I can find flow numbers, but if you look at it you can clearly see the better port design and how the head is freer flowing

whats the point I ask ?, I've had my pulsar head re worked and it will easily flow enough air for me to be able to run 500 + bhp with my new T3 flanged GT3076R, My point is that unless you're going for stupid power what do you have to gain from all this f*cking about apart from maybe a slightly better pick up at low revs.

Don't get me wrong I admire anybody who is willing to do something different, I just question the need for this particular modification and it's value in the long run.

i have no use for the DET head, i was going to sell it on when the build is finished along with my 20VE complete bottom end.

im not too sure on head work yet, as said it doesnt really need working, might just get the ports polished.

rob, shut it fatty! lol, i just thought yeh why not, lets do something different, we'll just have to wait and see when its all built and running if its going to be worth it

I admire you effort wezz but I just don't see the gains unless you're going for big power, But I do understand your reasoning , You know I also like to do things a little different so I do get it.

It will certainly be interesting to see the results you achieve with this set up .

im all for wezz doing it, if it works out it means someones done all the hardwork and taken the risk , saving anyone else the hassle of finding out whats needed if they go that route....so 2 thumbs from me for having ago

how is it going to switch from low to high lift ? is the switchover point not controlled by the ecu like v-tec ?

the only discussions i've had with people about using a ve head on a gtir generally centres round throwing all the vvl cr@p in the bin

as previously said gadge, the low cam will help the blower spool up better and when high cam comes in it will be interesting

you have definately done things different and i likes it keep it up fella

You can hook them both up to the same switch. It will just switch the exh and intake at the same time instead of slightly offset.
