Need Nissan Guru Help ( Nj)
if any body has some time to help out a sr20 member please HELP ME OUT.

im trying to get my car started and nothing

i bought what i had to buy for it and nothing. still just cranking and cranking but nothing.

i have a 94 sentra 1.6 E that i did a sr20 swap to
the motor and ECU came out of a 91 se-r

i swaped what i could swap out i used the 91 harness and it just cranked so

i bought the 94 harness to match the car and nothing still just cranks.
im going nuts trying to figure out what it could be and im clueless.

i have done plenty of DSM SWAPS and HONDA SWAPS but this takes the cake.

i know that the motor starts because before i took it out of the other car it cranked up and i was able to move it and park it to start taking it apart.

SO im asking if anybody has some time during the day after work or weekend to please come here and help me out and just look over the car with me and tell me what im not seeing

i dont have alot of money but i can buy food and beer and maybe a few bucks for helping me out.

the car is located in NORTH NEW JERSEY IN CLIFFSIDE PARK.

please help a member out.

u can email my phone at maykoiphone@yahoo.com which whould be that fasted way to reach me.

have you checked for you basic things, air fuel spark....check to make sure fuel pump is working, crank over the engine, check to see if the injectors are firing fouling the spark plugs with gas, check to make sure you have spark, ect just the basics

sigh............................. sorry dude but once again somebody did the same mistake i did like 3 years ago. you need to change your harness. you need a 94 ser harness for your car to work... your car will not work without the right harness.....

Most likely you have the fuel lines crossed. It's the most common problem that people have when swapping engines or even just pulling and putting back in. I did the last time I pulled my engine when I put my turbo on.

It's fuel filter to fuel rail and fpr to return. Try that

jen36 I bought a 94 ser harness but the one thing I noticed was that on the 1.6 harness that wire that is high near the raido has 6 wires and both the 91 and 94 ser harness have only 3 wires

I just hope the guy sold me a tru 94 ser harness

and I pretty sure the fuel lines are ok but I will double check it when I go back

and also the spark plug wires I'm really not sure if they are correct I couldn't find it on here I took a quick look at autozone but maybe that's my mess up so if somebody could tell me how it goes the right way.

normally if you are cranking over not starting your spark plugs should be semi saturated with fuel depending on how many times you are cranking over without starting, this is a good indicator that your fuel injectors are working, also a good way to tell which fuel injector isnt firing is all of the spark plugs are saturated but 1 or 2 ect
