is it a custom downpipe? wrap will dull the noise but not get rid of it.

There's plenty of room down there between the oil pan and crossmember. Have a good muffler shop cut and reweld it to change the angle a little bit.

Have them weld some hangers on it while you're there.

Those are two different issues. The hangers won't help the angle. I meant cut and weld to change the angle like this:



That was before I saw your pic. You may need to cut the rear section instead, but any way around it an exhaust shop should be able to fix it. There should be plenty of room (you can also see the hangers in this picture):
