temp gauge isnt working because you prob didnt change the sensor to the us one and are still using the jdm one that was in the water pipe.

no he had no sensors in it period. i kept the sensors since i needed them for my new engine. he replaced them with bolts till we talked on the phone.

it's your turbo, you've got no boost reading on the guage. I'd say one of the seals is shot and is leaking oil into the exhaust housing and burning. Get that damn temp guage fixed it's only like $12 for a sender. pull the hot side ic piping and look for oil. I'd say check your oil level also, but if you have a leak that's not going to identify anything.

dont do things half ass people if your going to run your car and beat on it then actually finish the whole thing. You will do some serious damage if your car isnt running good if you beat on it and its not even close to be in running condition

I wasnt "beating" on it, I took it for a test drive to see how it would go, I didnt go over 3000 rpm's at all. Sorry I like to test it out the old fashioned way, and take it out for a spin to see if it works correctly.

Anyways, I got back from my training for the Army, Hooked the temp sensors up, and hooked a couple of other things up, and was curious to see what happens. Then decided to start it up again. Here's another video.....

NOTICE: It smokes when I left off the throttle. The car runs fine, other than that smoke, and a minor boost leak.

Anyone have any ideas? Is it bad turbo seals? Should I just get a new turbo?

PS... compression numbers are perfect, all within 5 of eachother

i wonder if your having the same issue as jen is on the other thread.
