The cable is not an issue, I just need to order it, then splice into the correct cable.

dont know what everyone else said but i upgraded to a gtir t28 with bb manifold. i had to grind the block a lil but it worked with everything i had and i didnt have to buy anything extra, and to me the added power was nice. you dont need anything to big. t28 is like the perfect turbo for your power goals

Ha that will be the question of the lifetime...

As for GTiR T28, Jen have you been in a T25 car? What's your impression of either?

The thing you can't beat about the t25 in how cheap they are to replace. 100 to 150 bucks for a replacement, they are pretty much a disposable turbo. Plus you don't need to worry about your stock trans going as much and, upgrading injectors and retuning and all the other things that need upgraded that come along with more power.

It's power limits aren't that much less than the gti-rt28 30hp or so. You are not going to see any MPG increase by swapping turbos you are more likely to see a decrease in MPG.

Like the others have said work on the tune to increase MPG and enjoy your t25...at least for a while

I did this on my old azenis and it was because they were heat cycled to many times and got hard. Even with the new azenis it breaks thrid loose from a roll and does not stop until 7k. I would also think the alignment I am running is not helping me either.

yep the gt28rs makes power really quick. this causes all kinds of traction issues. I am looking into traction bars and drag radials for the street. I also have a much larger turbo waiting. I will get traction even if I have to add lag to get it.

Yeah if you have some decent camber up front your contact patch has prob. been decreased by a good ammount, which doest help when trying to go fast in a straight line. Also if you have a very light wheel and tire combo it doesnt help traction at all in my opinion. I have te37's and crappy dunlop fm901's and they dont hook up very well at all but they were too cheap to pass up at the time. Although from a roll on the highway i am sure it helps my response and acceleration.

I would say do some more tuning to the t25 set up and see where you want to go from there, you may only want to add some cams to the mix and still run the t25. Who knows.

still a big fan of the gt28rs thats why I am not selling mine. I just want to play with a larger turbo and I will add some stuff to get some traction on the street.

curious how much power you got out of those s4's on your set up, thinking they might be my next purchase.

20-30whp gain is not uncommon. Not sure on my car because the s4's went in with the original turbo setup which was a gt28r and I only dynoed the car once with that setup. so I did not get a before and after.
