I'm not spinning third on my sc61 on 15psi and I'm able to pull pretty damn hard. I honestly love when the boost hits but I love driving my brothers 18g turbo sentra. Its constant boost and you can do a lot more with it. My car is a highway monster but that's what you get with a big turbo.

mike4387, I'll keep that in mind

being able to lean out off boost and idle, and tune in on the full boost air fuel is where you are truly going to see the most mpg potential your setup has.

i really feel upgrading the turbo if not for power is a waste reason being is if you saved your money and went with a better tune or a tuning management system, it is going to be a better in the long run net you more power overall and net you better mpg.

becuase as everyone knows you could have a brand new EVERYTHING and have a bad tune or a tune that isnt most efficent for your setup and your mpg will suck ass, being able to chanel in on specific areas of your air fuels is where you will see the difference.

I do in fact have a RealTime ECU, just have been a bit scared to lean it out cruising wise. But after I talked to BenFenner, I'm a bit more confident. I'll still need to find a good mix of timing/leaning for highway driving though.

Getting a bigger turbo would be more of a twice fold deal. More power, which we all crave, and better gas mileage because it's more efficient.

^What a/r are you running? I been looking at the SC61 and SC6262.

Hey vadim are you running a wideband..I would say that would be your safest bet to lean out the ECU..It would make you feel alot safer about leaning it out. If you do decide on an upgrade I would say go with the disco potato or a gtir 28 they both are just a blast to drive. I think in your case the 2871r would require I fuel system upgrade Im running 444s and I can't go over 12 psi and would cost you 4 times a gtir T28 and at least 2 times a disco potato.

I did notice that about the big turbo. With the t25 i was running 9.0-8.9 1/8 mile with street tires and it felt like it pulled like a train early on. With the one run i got to do before the axle broke on the TOO BIG twin scroll 1.15ar t3/t4 I got a 8.6 with almost half the PSI. But it never really would break loose in 2nd like the t25 would and it didn't "feel" faster. But in real world it was and soon once the motor is back together will be fun still. But i'm going with a smaller turbine to hope for faster spool. Although i like the bigger turbo because it would hit 9psi and stay rock solid. no dipping down after 5800 like the t25 would. I think the turbine AR is now .84 or somewhere like that it's been awhile since i have looked.

Hey Mike,

Yup on the wideband, I've been kinda living off of it. I do need to hook it up for data logging, just so painful since it needs a serial port.

I can also keep track of timing via ScanGauge and I believe DataScan if I want to log.

2871R seems to be an overkill for what I really need, yes I want a 400whp Sentra that's faster then a GTR, but in reality, I don't need that much

GTiR T28 sounds tempting, but I think I will hold off until I'm bored with the BB T25.

Would a USB-to-Serial adapter allow you to data log easier? I know it's tough finding a decent laptop with a serial port these days.

I use a usb to serial with my ecutalk and it works fine. bastard to find the drivers tho.

i dont understand why when certain people post a thread it gets a bunch of responses and hits but when somebody else post the same question it gets like maybe 4 or 5 responses and thats that.....

dont know what everyone else said but i upgraded to a gtir t28 with bb manifold. i had to grind the block a lil but it worked with everything i had and i didnt have to buy anything extra, and to me the added power was nice. you dont need anything to big. t28 is like the perfect turbo for your power goals
