Something more Serious then a T25
I'm considering a turbo to be more efficient then a T25. I've been considering a T28, I would love a GT28RS "Disco Potato", but it's just freaking pricey!

Is there much fabrication needed for the T28 to fit the T25 down pipe and exhaust manifold?

I was told about the T25/T28 hybrid, but that will probably cost as much as a T28, plus isn't the flow of the T25 just not that great?

T3 wouldn't bee too bad, but i would have to change too many things to get it fit

It would also have to be something decently priced, I can't/don't to spend too much money.

Actually main reason for wanting a bigger turbo is for better flow, thus better gas mileage

I have a gtir t28 its has a lil lag but it pulls. Price wise go a gtir lag at 2krpm but after that it feels great. Had a t25 in my last car and in this one i have a t28 now and its a way different feeling

You just need a GTi-R T28, GTi-R Manifold, and you can modify your stock J-Pipe to fit the T28 and your current downpipe. Just make sure you have the proper supporting mods before you go turning up the boost!

I have a modified T25 J-Pipe for sale... PM me.

My old thread should answer some of your questions:

T25 to a GT28RS...what modifications/parts needed to make it fit? - SR20 Forum

T28 seems like the obvious choice. You have to consider you'll get some $$ for your current T25, so you will only pay the difference.

i knew the boost bug had gotten seriously into you bro... you're gonna end up spending more on mods to make it more MPG efficient than the money saved on gas ... anyways keep it up i love your ride... probably if you shop smart you can get a decently priced disco potatoe...

From what I've read you can run a t28 on all t25 stuff you just have to drill out one of the holes on the o2 housing. Everything else should match up. Exhaust manifold, o2 housing, dp, all of it.
