Exhaust Advice: WS2 + Res Construction. Turbo Back or Piping Kit?
Hey,

I am in need of some advice regarding putting together a few exhaust components. I was originally thinking of going w/the 3'' VRS turbo back exhaust kit, but I didn't know how many modifications to the kit would be needed to add in a big resonator and a WS2 muffler(because it already comes w/a muffler). I was thinking since I wanted the WS2 and resonator, maybe getting the VRS piping kit instead would be a cheaper solution, but then I'd have to get it all welded together and I'm not sure how much that would cost for someone to do.

What do you guys suggest? Get the turbo back and put a custom res + WS2 on it or get the piping kit and weld it all together separately?

Thanks for the help!

get the piping kit, and only costs 80-120 bucks to get it welded. Mine just showed up last Thursday and looks great.

Well for the Vrs pre made your going to be spending $386 +SHIPPING +wsp2 80mm ($290)+ cut and weld in $30-40. Your looking at $776 On the other hand, for the pipe kit your going to pay $150+shipping+wsp2 80mm $290+custom catback fee of $150-200 your looking at around $700. I say go with the piping kit my final answer,if you can find someone to weld it up for cheap you have a better option there. You'd also have enough for milk money and a sandwich.

where are you getting the prices for the WS2? You can get the brand new for like 180 shipped. So......

175-piping kit
180-muffler
55-vibrant 3" resonator.
??-welding

so just in parts you are a hair under 400. I'm sure you know someone that can hook you up with some welding help.

Everyone seems to agree I should go w/the piping kit. Thanks for the help, that's what I will do This has been bugging me for a while, not knowing which way I should go w/this. I don't think anyone in the area does any welding except some recommendations for a shop, but I'd be paying shop price. Both options require welding.
