Im in the process of installing a garrett gt2871r .86, for now Im running stock gtir, stock injectors, stock maf, stock ECU and so on...I was wondering what would be a good boost to run the turbo until I get the new ecu,maf,and injectors. Im thinking 10 psi max think that would be safe for the engine?

id run the minimum until the supporting mods are up to par to meet the power needs you want.

okay, I figure I can put down about 290hp and that would be putting the injectors at 90%. I really don't wanna boost until I get a wideband..at least then I can see if I start to run lean so I can back down the boost.

Don't do what my friend did with his s13. Slapped a t3/04e 50 trim on a stock det setup and it runs like SHIIT. Upgrade everything before you just start slapping turbos on.

get supporting modifications to support the turbo before getting into the problems you will see if you dont

just an fyi the stock t28 at 15psi sees injectors at 100% duty cycle

setup
kn filter
arc top mount
divorced downpipe
3 inch test pipe
2.5 cat back
mines ecu
stock maf stock injectors
jdm awd pulsar gti-r

GTiR motor will handle a lot of power as long as the tune is spot on, dont jump the gun though

run that turbo off the wastegate spring if you keep stock inj etc. any thing more than that and your asking for trouble. the spring should net you about 7 psi.

thanks rocco guess I should of just asked you since it was yours to begin with, I really just wanted to get it bolted on and make sure everthing is working properly therefore I was looking for a low boost setting to be test drive it. I got the 700 cc injectors and Z32 maf coming and the reflashed ECU laying in my room. I wanna get a wideband uego as well
