Thread: GTi-R J-Pipe + B15/B14 O2 Sensor

I'm wondering how everyone got their factory O2 sensor to thread into the GTi-R J-Pipe.

The threaded hole for the O2 sensor on the GTi-R J-Pipe seems to be too wide. Both a B15 and a B14 O2 sensor are smaller.

take the bung outta your stock header and put it on the jpipe

Stock header is gone. I wonder if there is some sort of space I can get?

maybe place a wtb ad in the correct section


your b14/b15 O2 sensor is gonna clear the a/c with the gtir j-pipe?

I'm not trying to buy anything here. I'm looking to see how others have gottent their factory oxygen sensors to work with a GTi-R j-pipe.

A/C has been removed, so no issues there.

if youre not gonna buy the adapter, then how are you expecting to get it to fit? We all used the adapter from the stock header, and since you dont have yours anymore, youll likely have to request it from someone.

I was talking about about a step down adapter, almost like those spark plug anti-foulers, but something that would work for the GTi-R J-Pipe.

My other option is to plug the J-Pipe bung and just have an extra bung installed in my down pipe.

Thats what the stock piece is like a step down like you are calling it. It threads into the bigger hole and has threads on the inside which allow you to run your factory o2 sensor.

Another option is buy an o2 sensor bung from a local auto parts store for like 4 dollars and have someone weld it in for you. I did that on one of my j pipes a while back.

I didn't realize the stock pieces were like that. I was thinking they were all the weld on style.

In that case I think having extra bungs welded to the top of the down pipe are my best bet since my j-pipe is coated and painted already.
