It's stories like this that confuse me when it comes to this debate. I've seen some people run turbo setups on stock B13/B14 trannys and have no issues while other people break them left and right. IDK if the transmissions are really that weak or if it's the drivers and how they treat them.

I don't think there's any doubt that the B15/P11 is stronger. It is a fact. But, it could be that a lot of us may not need to run them to still have a reliable setup.

I agree with boost by rpm/speed. Have it build progressively and your tranny will last. The car will be much faster down the track with progressive boost than a car with a broken tranny limping to the end...

You should be able to get 500whp out of a p11 but its not gonna have much of a life, and take the slicks off like I said before way too sticky for the street.

Again, your solutions are extremely counter productive. The OP doesn't want to go slower! Get it through your heads.

To the OP, I was referring to a custom built auto or PAR straight cut gear set. PAR claims 600HP rating on their straight cut gears. I would try calling them up, and asking for some kind of warranty that their gears will handle what you want to throw at them. I would also track down some of the more reputable auto builders out there and see if there is anything they could do.

I would, however try the B15/P11 tranny first.

I too would not want a 600hp set-up and only run 500hp. If I build something like that, I want to use all of the available power. I disagree with turning it down.

We know that he doesn't wanna go slower but if he doesn't wanna keep breaking trannys and dishing out cash then he should turn the boost down, you wanna run the hell out of a tranny and get a week out of it then go. Im simply stateing that obviously running the current power on the engine is breaking the transmission. So turn down the boost a bit until he gets a par tranny or a better tranny, or a better platform besides who the hell needs 600whp on the street!

And therealnighthog if a p11 can handle 600-700whp then why does his keep breaking

Andreas Miko "Power doesn't kill trannys torque does".... something close to that he said......Par tranny + progressive set up.....Gets you out the hole with less traction issues +it save your tranny you can't go wrong. I remember watching FNisker all the time he had to fight that car to keep it strait on the launches... Either way you have to talk to member that ran this amount of power successfully other wise your not going to get anywhere here. Why not ask that guy at the start of my first sentence.

Also the Koni adjustable will save about 2 lbs in each corner, and will give you a better holeshot, This is what the car is going to look like here and there... Dam I need to be going to M.I.T or something.....
