Thread: 1 dum injectors question

msd 50lbs injectors is it is it high or low inpendence? or is there 2 types side and top feed?

50#ers do NOT need resistors. The bigger MSD's do though.

ok my bluebird motor came with sidefeed . i bought a topfeed rail with 500 rc injectors.... the car never rev right.... i also bought a wolf ecu it still didnt rev right with the 550cc. so i went back sidefeed 333cc & it work fine......my big question im scared bout top feed on my motor since i learn that all topfeed are low inpendence.......my ecu program for z32 maf & 50 msd injectors.......im askin if it matters if i get top or side feed injectors or once is #50msd im good to go?

top feed injectors come in both high and low impedence. msd 50lb injectors are a high impedence injector. 50lb=525cc. you can not run a ecu programmed for msd 50lb injectors with a 525cc side feed because the lag time on the injector will be different. Short answer use what the ecu is programmed for.

my ecu says pop package,z32 maf, 50lbs injectors .thats it.....i made 1 mistake once i bought 555cc topfeed for #50 injectors but the 500cc topfeed was breaking up around 3000 rpm.......but my side feeds works fine ont that motor
