I can't wait to hear it in person. I'm headed back to the midwest October 24th to help with a grand opening in Chicago for a month. I am going to try and make it back to GR for a day or so within that timeframe. Maybe we could meet up at some point before the snow starts flying and your car goes into hibernation for the winter

Eric does your motor have DE pistons or VE pistons?

it has DE wesico's right now .....some day I want to pull it again , and throw in some VE ( JE's or CP's ) in 90mm in the motor, then I can run these darn 20V cams I have sitting here , but then I should also put in some larger stainless valves since the stock VE exhaust valves are smaller then a DETs and CNC the combustion chamber and machine it to the 90mm bore ........just to aid in power production , this is similar to what mike had done to his head , he made the 664.9whp on like 20lbs on race gas in his 90mm super worked Mazworks head white SE-R , my only problem with tearing the motor down is I am pretty happy with the power it has and with this setup there is still alot left in it , not a lot of reason to change it right now , other then I can and it will build more power easily ....

Good to know. I honestly think you have zero reason to tear that motor down.

I was just curious since I recently read that buddy with the bluebird smacked his valves on DE pistons. It just sparked curiosity. My motor has 87mm DE Wisecos and I am debating to have them valve notches put in. At the same time I think I won't as I will be running 2.0 cams. I know for a fact I will make the power I want with the 2.0's.

They are probaly the same pistons , I really dont have a reason to tear it down .....

A) Cant your EMS do the cam switching depending on different conditions? Throttle position etc...
B) Find a spare block somewhere (they are cheap, try a junk yard) and put those pistons in there. An extra block helps when you want to build it but not tear into your running one.

I have 2 spairs , on built with eagle rods and wesicos , and a spare disasembled DET block , I was going to tear the block in the car down someday and reuse the pistons from it ( with new rings ) in the DET block and the bore the sleeved block to 90mm and such , I cant bore one of my spairs to 90mm since you can not go that big on stock sleeves , but I really dont need to do any of it ......I will probaly build the DET or use the other built DE in a B14 or B13 for a fun daily someday .....
