Well you see thats the thing, It all depends on how much you spin. In a high hp turbo car your 1/8 mile really wont tell you much as if you dont even get traction till mid 3rd gear like i did your 1/8 mi time will be crappy and mph not as crappy.
I noticed as i got better traction my mph was going up along with my time dropping. In most other cases where your just spinning off the line its usually opposite.
My best 1/8 mi on 24 psi was 7.31@102mph. In normal applications a 102mph trap speed would be in the high 6's easy. An i had a 1.76 60ft on that run as well it wasnt the fact i didnt get a decent launch, it was the fact that i spun the crap out of the slicks 1st-3rd gear and finally caught mid to end of 3rd.
Now when i was actually getting full traction on the 25X9X13 m&h's and 30psi, my times reflected properly. 1.97 60ft due to bogging and went 7.1@108. I know darn well 108mph trap is depp into the 6's. But again had my 60ft been 1.6-1.7 as usual my 1/8 would have reflected my trap speed better.
So it all depends on how much you spin not just your 60ft time. You can have a high 7 1/8 mi and still run a low 11 sec 1/4 pass.
