I never had to grind mine at all. The clearance is fine. You can shift all day long easy as pie, only when you're doing some serious spirited driving and shifting from 2nd to 3rd does it show up. Downshifting from 4th to 3rd doesn't cause an issue either.

yeah just from 2nd to 3rd quickly. Not enough clearance wont cause the problem. I think it has to do with the lockout balls and pins that are held with the springs. When your in one gear they position to not allow the other collars to engage. I think what is happening is those pins are not reacting fast enough to get out of the way of the next shaft so that it can move. This would be especially apparent because 1st and 2nd are on one shaft so there is nothing that has to move other than a spring loaded ball. But on the 3rd and 4th shaft a pin is pushed underneith it to keep it from moving while in 1st and second. It makes sense that the pin that goes into the 3rd and 4th selector shaft is not getting out of the way quick enough then after a couple shots its there and goes in fine.

Its kind of a bad design in a way for quick shifting.
The B13 and B14 dont have this problem because they just float when not in use.

go down there and grind a bit more, grind so theres close to a half inch of clearance.

if it doesnt work at least its one less thing thats in the equation.

I went for a spirted drive after a small meet in town with a few guys....and wow , comming out a corner in 4th , and rolled into boost on the way out end she broke the tires loose and decided to go straight , I think I am going to play with the boost by gear a little more , and I want to go through the supension and do some real good upgrades , progress or custom CSKs from OEM , or a custom Ground control Advanced design setup , and some 15" wheels with 225/45/15s on it , I think that might be one of this winters projects....
