Yeah oil will kill couplers. thats what kept happening at the track last time out. I didnt have any brake cleaner to clean the oil residue. I had two worm drive clamps on there trying to hold a reinforced coupler on my BOV adapter pipe and it just wouldnt stay at 30psi. Once i cleaned the coupler when i got back home and cleaned the pipe it was fine even with the worm drive clamps.

Now all will be clean and with t-bolts all around instead of half and half

So what kind of update you got for us on your car? Still rocking the SC6262? What are your thoughts?

I am still rocking the SC6262 .....and I love it , I feel as though I have not even seen a fraction of what the turbo is capable of , I will tell you it loves higher boost....from everthing I have seen , I other then that I am just enjoying the car ....I have been thinking of throughing a intercooler srayer on the car ( NX , or the NOS one ) to super cool the heat exchanger , and I want to get a vented hood , and I am thinking about jet hot coating the manifold downpipe and hot side , I and then either get some larger injectors and tune for E85/98 on a seperate MAP on the EMS , or do water meth also and tune more boost and just stick with the 1000cc injectors to go along with the fuel system upgrades, and if I do E85/98 I want to really see what the turbo can do , hell EVO guys have done over 700awhp on it , so I would relly like to see what it will do , and if the motor fails somehow , that would be my exscuse to finaly go up to 90mm bore and then run the 20V cams and work the head all the way over woth bigger valves and all .....but I think the turbo has a ASS TON left in it ....I am running 18lbs daily and it is a monster , at 22-24 on c16 it feels insane .....I would like to have that everyday now .....like say 550whp+ on any given day .....

Wow, 18psi daily? That is just nuts! I can only get away with about 14psi before I get a small amount of detonation. Or at least I think it is detonating. I am going to retime the car and things...

But that is cool you can run 18psi on your setup. I want that! Hell, I'd like to retard the timing a couple degrees and run 20psi and see what it can pull out with a larger turbo. Going to a 6262 should net about 100whp more on the same boost... at least. But how do you like the response of that turbo?

My whole setup has been designed around a very broad, responsive powerband. This powerband is stupid responsive for the street. I very much like the response of the setup. If only it made a bit more power...

The HTA I am looking at is a bit smaller than yours too. Its like a 6158 or something like that. The ball bearing 60-1 would be awesome if the GT35r exhaust housings would fit lol. I would love to try out the 1.06 housing on the 60-1 and see how it does. But there is a lot of promise in running the HTA3582r...

So ya, I just wanted to see how you felt about the overall response of the engine with your turbo. It's prob too big for me, but its nice to know anyway.

you sir are a sick fuck. seriously the power you are making is not enough ? you want more you want 550whp daily ! wackadoo ! LOL. the sc6262 has a ton left in it. race fuel and 30psi ! i took my car out for a 50 mile cruise tn, ran so good. i got a few upgrades in mind, in due time though. where can i pick up the mag ? is it out ? imma hit borders tomorrow if it is. agian a big CONGRATS.

coheed like you responsivness is extremely important to me. specially when i really enjoy running big cubic n/a cars that have insane response and tq. i would love to see you come to ny and dyno your car on say the dyno we use out here. i bet your numbers would be much much higher, not that our dyno reads high, infact its a feelings hurter. but still i feel the dyno your using reads abnormally low. i watched your video you posted and from the looks of it that motors making way more then what you dynoed at. any other well known reputable dynos near you ? your mph next time you hit the track will tell all.

you guys make me want to slap a ve head on !
