Well you see thats the thing, It all depends on how much you spin. In a high hp turbo car your 1/8 mile really wont tell you much as if you dont even get traction till mid 3rd gear like i did your 1/8 mi time will be crappy and mph not as crappy.

I noticed as i got better traction my mph was going up along with my time dropping. In most other cases where your just spinning off the line its usually opposite.

My best 1/8 mi on 24 psi was 7.31@102mph. In normal applications a 102mph trap speed would be in the high 6's easy. An i had a 1.76 60ft on that run as well it wasnt the fact i didnt get a decent launch, it was the fact that i spun the crap out of the slicks 1st-3rd gear and finally caught mid to end of 3rd.

Now when i was actually getting full traction on the 25X9X13 m&h's and 30psi, my times reflected properly. 1.97 60ft due to bogging and went 7.1@108. I know darn well 108mph trap is depp into the 6's. But again had my 60ft been 1.6-1.7 as usual my 1/8 would have reflected my trap speed better.

So it all depends on how much you spin not just your 60ft time. You can have a high 7 1/8 mi and still run a low 11 sec 1/4 pass.

Twice? I listened to it like 5 times trying to shake the goosebumps off and then called my wife in to show it to her.

and to the op...a 2 step would work great on your set up if you're trying to get the 1/8 times down. That's all we race up here. The n2mb is a great product and fairly easy to wire up. Check the build in my sig.

Eric, I'm bummed I am not coming home for the 4th and to hang out with you and your wicked ride. Oh well, I'll let you know when I'm going to be home next.

Sounds like you are having fun with the car though! Keep practicing!

man I thought my ride was fast with the t3t4 but I've only ran at 15psi. I've never blown the tires off like that rolling at 70mph. Damn guys!!! I need injectors now. I wanna turn up the boost.

do you ever get tired of being a critic. How is this talking about myself. This was a direct comparison to 1/8 mi trap speeds to show where he is at and how spinning affects it. I dont just talk about my car out of nowhere unless its for comparison and and directly relevant to the topic.

thanks, i dont just talk abouit my car for no reason. It always is done in a comparison. Ive used other peoples cars in comparisons as well.

Your car is coming along man. Easily the cleanest, quickest, dd with a/c ive seen come across this forum or the old one. Keep up the good work man. Im sure with some practice you will start seeing those times drop even more. When you gonna take it to the 1/4 it will really give you a good idea what its capable of.

not trying to but in but some insight on getting your 60' and 1/8mi times down and droping your 1/4mi et.

I was running roughly 14.0@98 in my mustang with 251whp(on a mustang dyno) with a 2.0-2.2 60' on street tires leaving at idle.

Same day, bolted on my 275/60/15 mt et stret radials and went 13.32@102.45 with a 1.891 60' launching at 4200rpm(my peak tq)
My 1/8 mile time for that run was 8.517@81.39

Granted, you car is making a **** ton more power than mine, but at your power level you can really drop your time down alot with the right amount of traction.

There is a local guy here that has a honda that made 400 to the wheels and has run a best of 10.93@129.40 with consistant 1.66 60' times and 7.103@102.08 in the 1/8th

I love your nx and look forward to seeing some more track times from it. Good Luck!

well I think I am going to make an effort to shed some heat under the hood , it gets a little warm when it is 90+ out and humid as hell , so It is now is going to be time to thermal coat everthing this winter , and get a turbo blanket , and mayby a vented hood .....
