Well, the 6-speed should happen in the future. You WILL blow that trans up. Everyone here with a P11 trans has broken one, or several. I've broken mine 3 separate times. Buddy shattered 4th with only 400whp in his P10. The P11 trans is very strong, but I think the gears just get fatigued over time. The heavy shockproof def helps though. I can attest to that! It is like adding at least 10K miles to the life of your tranny easily. I ran 440whp on my P11 on heavy for hundreds of passes, and 24K miles before breaking 2nd gear. On the new gearstack and Synchromesh it broke in under 6K miles.

My trans shifts like butter into 3rd. Never grind third. 2nd gear gets to be a pain every once in a while, so I just drive 2nd easy.

I close my eyes and try to erase this post out of my mind. You sir, are the tranny doom speaker and what gives me nightmares. No more stories like this, you'll scare the kids around the camp fire.

Well I drove the car out to the 8th mile track tonight , and I took the slicks and ran them a few times , I finallty got a good launch a good 3rd gear shift , still spining like hell the car tried to change lanes on me in 2nd gear on one of the runs so I let out then got back into it and it then it tred to pull towards the wall when boost hit again , it was nutty so I lowered boost in 2nd to 10psi and aired down the slicks to 13 psi, and the next run I pulled a 2.0 60ft and ran a 8.2 @ 95.8 mph .....and I got beat , I was running in the 8.0 bracket tonight , it was fun and I was icing the intake and intercooler inbetween runs it was over 80 degrees out at the track tonight ....I am sure there is still more in it ....

your 96mph trap is good for a high 7 or so. Your gonna need some more boost to go any faster. You must be babying the car off the line as well. On slicks you should be pulling at least 1.8 60's once you get the hang of it.

I see a good 7 second 1/8 mile pass at around 97-98. With more power you can get into the 100mph 1/8th

At that rate you were heading towards a mid 12 second run. Not bad. Little by little you will get that hang of it. Once you figure out where or how high you need to ramp up the boost your times will drop for sure. You are still teasing that thing.

you need to drop those slicks down to at the very least 10psi. I ran my 22X8X15 m/t's at 10psi and with 460whp they hooked decent through 1st and 2nd, I had to modulate the throttle but still pulled a 1.71 60' on them.

The 25X9X13 m&h's i ran those at 8psi and thats when they really started to hook. Enough dead hook from the rev limiter to snap the axle.

If your running a 24.5 i would start at 10psi and launch around 6000 or so maybe 6500 just slowly let the clutch out to roll out then dump that way you will save your axle. Just takes practice.

yeah it's all in your left foot. I feel my best 60 foots are when Im relaxed and consentrating. If i get hyped up about reaction time I end up pulling off the clutch to fast and bogging out. With slicks you should deffinatly be seeing 1.8-1.7 which should knock .2-.4 off your ET with just the 60 foot. Let alone good shifting in later part of the track. I usually run slick below 10 psi average of 7.5-8psi. That might help your spinning in second gear. What size slicks BTW?

His trap is good for a LOW seven or better! My Vette traps something like a 90mph speed and my best was an 8.0 with sevens right there on deck. 96mph is a good ammount more power too. With a high HP FWD car though your always going to be disapointed in your 1/8th mile times. Take that beast to a quarter mile at least. Or even a mile

I do 93 in the 1/8 with a 7.5 so I think if he is doing 96mph in the 1/8 he should be low 7s which can run mid 11s all day. I kno NA/turbo stuff is a bit diff through the 1/4 but I think w a little better driving hell be doing 11s
