Fred broke his PAR gear set.

when people know third is goin to pop why not ease it into third?
awd talon/eclipse guys that know there sh1t rarely if that will launch there cars out the hole cause they know that no matter how much u fortify itll break no matter what..

It lasted a while though, longer than most would have thought. Your car only weighs about 2000lbs right? That's probably why it lasted as long as it did. Regardless of power levels, less weight to pull= less stress on the tranny.

Now go get a P11 and bang gears all day.

yeah 2080 lbs, not to mention 3rd lasted soo long because when i do usually punch it it just blows the tires off and bounces the rev limiter 4th and 5th gear are my very fast gears where i have traction But even in 4th gear at 100+mph it will still try and break the tires loose on street tires.

I know 3rd gear is weak, and i knew eventually i would break it. But oh well its all part of it. I usually ease onto 3rd gear and thats probably what caused the gears to chip and break because easing the throttle to about 1/2 i can keep traction but still pull rediculous. To me that probably puts more stress on the gearstack than punching it and breaking the tires loose although the initial shock it hitting hard and breaking the tires loose might do some damage but i think more damage would be caused partial throttling it putting down as much power as i can while keeping traction. Cuz even on my low boost (14-15psi) any more than 1/2 throttle just inialates the tires. Even half throttle in 3rd its still starts to spin but i just flutter the throttle to keep traction.

Neways a P11 trans is next. GSX is officially up for sale so hopefully it will sell for what im asking so i can get that trans.

P11 and B15 break gears too jejejeje...

The only advantage is that Nissan sells the gears independently
Also for your Information B15 QR18 trany carry the same gear sets and shafts as the P11 trany.... i had to buy one in a Miami junkyard and ship it to PR because the boys.. here bought all the 4th gear sets available in the US and they were on back order jejeje
So they are not undestructible...
But they do hold more power than B13/14 ones...
