I never used to check the gap on my plugs, just tossed them in the engine straight out of the box. I ran up to 18 lbs on a 10:1 motor not blowing out. I also ran bkr6e. With a stock ignition system.

Ya, you're just jealous your gap isn't as big as mine

Just kidding. Fixed. My typo lead to many more typos lol.

Good gosh man raise that gap up to about .032-.036! How's the smoke issue going for you? Is that stuff still helping?

Bigger gap= better response, idle, fuel economy, and power. A smaller gap is used when tons of air is crammed into the cylinder and the coil is unable to product a spark. More air= higher resistance.

Too small of a gap and the car can start to misfire. Most of the time you get a partial-throttle misfire when the gap is under .022 or so. Car will just sound like it is cutting out a bit at partial throttle, but will haul when in boost.

hmmm that kind of makes sense because when i bearly tap the gas it backfires alot. i guess it sounds kind of cool. im probably going to raise my gap to .28 or .30

If those BKR6E's were gap by me in your car, they are gapped to .30
