Crushing the 1G BOV

nice write up..before i got the type s i had my old dsm hold 17psi with no leaks..

I squished the top of mine until it would hold 22inHG vacuum. This is an increase of nearly 5inHG over stock. I don't leak anymore and the turbo will push over 26psi. The BOV may be leaking at that point, but I figure it is good to at least 22psi.

I didn't crush mine just in case I did it to much. There is a site that shows u how to mod it without crushing it just google dsmbov mod for high boost. Pretty much all u do is just block the factory hole for the boost source and drill and tap the side then run a line from there to a good boost source. It also helps the bov react faster as well. I can take a pic of mine later also and post it if need be.
