gtir swap...no ignition/fuel
so, i took apart my front clip last week, very carfully.....we had it running, did quiet well for running off just a spray bottle of gas. after removing the motor, with attached wiring harness, i took the write up on the g20 forum, and modified my 94 nx2000 wiring harness as described. (How to: GTiR G20 P10 swap... - G20.net - Forums)

i switched the pins on the tps sensor (ground and positive are reversed in a gtir tps) modified the plugs for the aac. i havent gotten the o2 sensor/boost solenoid thing done yet, but we figured wed try and fire it up. nothing. cranks fine, but i havent got fuel, OR ignition. ive got the gtir ignitor grounded directly to the ground wire from the battery. i have no fuel, and no ignition. i have a 92 ser, that came to me kind of stripped. ive been putting it back together using parts from a bunch of junk cars ive stripped over the past few months. im using a 94 nx2000 wiring harness on the motor, and the 92 harness everywhere else. ive noticed a few differences INSIDE the car, where the 2 harness plugs coome off the ecu. the one going to the gauges plugs in properly, but the other one does not. do you guys know what im talking about? and would this possibly cause issues under the hood? just looking for some advice/ideas, i have no idea, had to pack it in for the night. i think ive got it all wired up. there is no voltage at the coil/ignitor, and i do not hear the fuel pump running, nor is their fuel coming out the fuel line.

The other plug coming off the ECU that is not plugged in needs to be plugged in otherwise your fuel pump wont turn on. Just search around behind the center console. It should be there.

REALLY? THATS good to hear. only problem. we have a 92 ser that runs.....and the plug is definatley different between a 92/94. looks like i may have to modify the plug. but yeah, that was what i was thinking, do you think ignition might be affected also by that plug?

one other question, before i crash for the night......we put a volt meter on the plug OFF the ecu. it was a 12 volt signal wire, and 2 that had no voltage. i think it was just 3 wires. is there a way i can hotwire that plug or something? like, i assume if it controls the fuel pump, theres a return signal wire thats activated by the ignition, only because its unplugged at the moment its not getting the signal from the switch? just trying to see if theres a way to get it working with what i have available at the moment.

ok....fixed the plug situation. thats all good. i have ignition now. i ALSO have fuel at the rail. im asuming that the fuel pressure regulator is on the return side like a regular de. it looks like although i have fuel and fire, the fuel is NOT getting past the injectors. fires up and runs well of a spray bottle of gas, but it will not run on its own. what should i check for? is their anything i could have buggered up in the wiring? it looks like this is the last obstacle before it runs on its own. i DO have fuel at the rail though. i could try switching the fuel lines, but i think ive got them on right.

and i just went out, and cranked it over, and now it SOUNDS like its trying to start. kinda misfiring, and it wont RUN, but its actually firing on at least 1 cyl. im not sure whats going on.

looks good now, haha. think its REALLY bad gas in there. going up the road to get 10 gallons of premium to throw in it, along with some gum out. itll idle now, just need to smooth it on out.
