sr20ve-t built
so let start off as it was all going well, i drive a sentra se with a sr20ve, i wanted turbo so i built a sr20ve-t, my friends and i pulled the sr20ve out of my sentra in 2hrs it went great nothing broke all went well, we are resealing the sr20ve-t and my friend decided to hammer off the upper pan and it wont come off, so i tell him there has to be a bolt he forgot and there was. So as he was cleaning the pan he noticed that he had cracked the pan where the bolt was.......
So tomorrow at 7am i have to find a welder who can weld this or call a friend to see if his sr20de upper pan will fit my sr20det.... but i will prob weld it. If it was not for this i would have been done and the car would be off to the tunner.

the build is
sr20ve head on det bottom end
t25 turbo
stock psi ( for now)
3inch downpipe and exhaust
2.5inch in and out intercooler and piping
333cc injectors, untill i get my chip for the 333
vsafc to controll vvl
oil psi and temp gauge
boost gauge
thermospacers
aem wideband
255 walbro fuelpump
nismo fuel psi reg
fuel psi gauge
4bar fuel psi

this was my setup to just get me boosted.
if this motor fails the sr20ve is going back in and i can just driving that and selling the parts

cheers

thats why you should never have to hammer the pan, a simple screw driver where the pry point is should get the pan right off. if it doesnt then take your time and look around for a bolt you might have missed.

Neways It should be a responsive setup. your compression will be around 9.3:1 with the ve head on the det bottom end. You definetly need a bigger turbo than that t25, its going to run out of breath well before the ve wants to give up. This is only gonna create high backpressure and heat in the cylinders at high rpm which will lead to detonation. With that t25 id definetly leave it no higher than like 8psi at the most. You need at least a gtir turbo to make use of the vvl head.

Neways good luck with the setup. Just take your time with it and it should be good to go.

thats the plan and i dont plan to rev past 6500 because thats when the t25 turbo is out of its efficiency range at 10psi. i plan to run the factory wastegate psi for know. and when i can upgrade but i dont want a big candy cane intercooler pipe.

Yo man plain and simple don't run that turbo or your car willl get WAY to hot and blow up!!! a t28 at the very least, $**** I would be running a gt30r@ 8psi. That would make a nice reliable way more powerful motor.

My plan (next year ) is to build a ve/det motor using a t3/to4 60 trim and have a ball!!!

ANyway whatever you do...goodluck snf if you plan at not reving past 6500 you are going to have a very short vvl session.....

again that t25 just cant handle it man and even then you probably will see very little hp gain at 7psi with the t25. Matter fact i can almost guarantee you an n1 cam, cam gears, good header, 3" exhaust ve will almost make the same amount of hp as your ve would with the t25 on there at 7psi but here is the thing the all motor would have way way better powerband. The only difference with the turbo is you will definetly feel the torque increase and thats about it. Cuz after 6k when the ve really shines you car will be out of breath and more than likely you will get some detonation and things will go wrong.

The t25 is just way too small of a turbo for the ve. So please do get at the very least a t28 asap.

I would say that if you want to run 7psi on a t25, you will be ok as long as you don't switch the cams, then it will be like a de with a better flowing head. I also feel that you would make more power this way but that is just a guess since I haven't ever run such a small turbo on a ve. Good Luck.
