Check the link on my post ^^^^ it shows how the springs are surrounded by the metal plates. I leave the line around 5-6k and still going strong.

I have a 6 puck sprung on my stock det, and it is a leg press for sure. The chatter is pretty bad at times on engagement too. Mine is still holding up after a couple years though.

I am making sure to break this one in properly.

hopefully the splines failed because of a faulty alignment and not because they couldn't handle the power lol.

I have heard of people stripping them out when they don't use the dowel pins in the block/tranny.

I am really hoping this doesn't happen to me.

I've run 6-puck un-sprung on a few cars. One chattered a bit, the other behaved like a factory disc.

Hmmmm. Well the question was; "which one for high hp" and sprung is winning lol.

I kinda wish this one I have now was sprung, but I will have a review very soon so you guys will know what I think.

Do you have a buddy with an unsprung clutch? Doesn't matter the type of car, it would be really worth it to try and find one and give it a go. It wouldn't take but 5minutes and you would have a much better idea then what you can get from reading.

and how much torque are you making sir?

Exactly

Absolutely love it. The chatter is liveable, sounds like rod knock when im at a red light sometimes But I love the clutch. Grabs great when I need it to. Have put about 30K miles on my clutch with numerous Auto-Xs , numerous FL - TX trips, COUNTLESS nitrous sprays.

From a stop I never spin if im just putt-puttin around town from a stop. Dont shift like a mad man when youre driving around town and you will be fine.

horsepower has nothing to do with it. How much torque do you actually make? I feel like you guys don't understand that 150 or 200lbft of torque is not going to shred a disc, but 300lbft is a totally different story. You just have to match the application.

300 what? whp or torque? Dont run any sticky tires

I was referring to the driveability of the car with my lightweight drivetrain and the low bottom end power of the JWT S4s. I was saying that its not bad for a DD as many people claim it to be.
I made 222wtq stopping at 6400RPM because it was getting way too lean.

Where in my post did I say anything about horsepower?

Should be around 320whp/300wtq. I am running the new kuhmo ecsta xs tires.

Yes it might chirp a little but are you saying that the unsprung is better for drive-ability? Oem flywheel + Miko tranny bracket + 6 puck sprung should be pretty good I'd think.
