Or so he/you think I want him to have a motor capable of much more than a T-28 should he get tired of it (tired of trying to catch up)

Jen, sucks about the car man. I can't stand how people on post are so friggin' careless when it comes to other people's property.

I hate careless people in the parking lot. Its always some douche that changes cars every 2 years that doesn't give a **** about his/her ride.

If he isn't going to run crazy boost all the more reason to run higher compression pistons imo but 9:1 should be a good middle. I would definitely skim the head/block though this time just to be safe. That will raise comp slightly.

You'll be back turbo soon enough. If you don't finish the mechanical timing issue before I come up in October, I'll come by on the weekend and help you get it running right again.

A couple of key things to remember:
Run synthetic oil only.
Prime the turbo with oil before you finish the re-install and take of driving. (you know, disconnect the ignitor and fuel pump fuse and crank the motor over) Leave the return disconnected until oil comes out of it, then hook it up and you'll be good to go.

First things first, is that he NEEDS to call around and find a shop to do the balancing, JUST IN CASE. I don't want that 1/1000% of doubt when he re-installs the turbo. He's had enough issues with the car, and I don't want the turbo rebuild to have been in vain.
