Thread: Update(SMOKING IS GONE!!!)

BHG, my phone is buggy. I get MMS from tmobile but i cant get it from att.

my car has the same problem, when I come to a stop I see a lot of smoke. I was thinking it is the turbo cause I had the motor re-build last year and it smoke with the same turbo before then. I know another person who has a det with the same issue. It seemed to get worse when I switched to mobil one 10W30.

i blew a HG took the head off and it seemd like somebody took a file and ground down the very top of the cylinder wall. not inside but the very top. guess the block is done. the same corrosion went down the side of the number four piston. probably got to the first ring. so that probably was causing my smoke. welp i already got another det so its time to switch everything over.

Good God man you moved fast. Better take that block you have and see what can be done with it. Build it over time as a built block

im going to keep the block and see what the machine shop can do with it. the cylinder wall is perfect. Its just the top of the block thats funky. its hard to explain i guess. im in the process of griding the block to fit my t28 in and then all i gotta do is hook the tranny in and the motor is ready to be put in

Detonation? I'd figure out the cause before just slapping another block in there. Bad injector on that cylinder? Too much timing? Ever have it on a wideband?
