Was the pcv disconnected before or after the smoking? Does he still have a catch can, (oil separator) of some sort?

Yes he does, Ken.

The PCV was disconnected after the smoking, as I assumed PCV was defective. He checked it and it's still good, but I had him leave it disconnected because PCV does absolutely nothing for the vehicle when in boost. It just remains shut and the blow-by goes out the ports of the valvecover closest to the dizzy.

Just checking. I figured you would know, but everyone has brainfarts. I'm lost with it. I guess drive it till it blows completely, then replace everything, haha!

Lol! So far so good. He called earlier and said that the smoking is gone. He retarded timing and it went away. I need to dig into the motor when I get down to see him in October. If he advances the timing I'm sure it will smoke again. I'm still thinking valve issue.

His tune has been checked time and time again by DCScotty and Billc. I don't think the tune is an issue, but it's worth looking at again. I told him it may be a mechanical timing issue, since his distributor needs to be fully advanced to hit 15* of ignition timing.

There are a few things I want to look at when I get up there, and I hope we can hammer out his issues in a couple weekends.

We're making progress though, and that's a good thing.

welp been driving the car around alot more and i have no smoking at all yay! im still slow as hell because i have that stupid hesitation that comes and goes. theres a oil leak somewere that i have to check out. i just went outside and theres a small puddle of oil under my car...

so far the only thing i did diffrent was i used the oil line from my spare t25 and i used a new oem restricter. it stilled smoked but then i remember a while back when scotty was setting my timing i notice that when he tried to put it at 15 degress it started to smoke like crazy. the dizzy was almost fully advance just to get 15 degress so just out of curiosity i retarted it back half way back and the smoked cleared in about 10 minutes. i think my dizzy has something to do with whats going on. i dunno but the car is slow because im probably at 6 degress. im happy that the car is not smoking. now im just going to wait for tek to come to look at my timing and everything else because im not touching the car n e more

day 2 and no smoke! and that puddle of oil was tranny fluid. the axle they gave me was 2 short and letting the fluid leak out. but thats fixed now

Now all we need to do is get that dizzy from Jamie and figure out what's REALLY going on.
