Well I'm planning on fixing everything, and all the leaks. After that dynoing and tuning the car, and then calling it "done".

My only thing is, I already have a Fidanza flywheel ready to go in, I just want to hit two birds with one stone, even though the my clutch might just hold up fine hehe

I've been looking at some more six puck clutches and the whole clutch chatter deal.

It doesn't seem like chatter is too bad, the only thing I'm worried about is warping the flywheel.

Chatter isn't that bad, and it's actually completely avoidable if you're halfway decent with your clutch engagement (more revs and slipping will eliminate chatter). After a while with a 6-puck you can even get so used to it that you never even think about it again. You will drive like a normal person after a while.

The problem of the insanely heavy pressure plate is still there however. The pressure plates sold with 6-puck clutches are stiff and you will not enjoy that on a daily basis.

If you have managed to drive only your car around for a while and finally got used to the clutch engagement, you will then never be able to drive another manual car again, as you will likely fuсk up driving a normal clutch for the first couple of miles until you re-adjust. Then you'll be completely flumuxed the next time you drive your own car and have to basically re-re-adjust.

It gets annoying.

Unless you plan on going with a GT30 or larger turbo, why the hell are you looking at 6-puck clutches?

You do realize you want some slip in the clutch right? The clutch protects the engine from necessary shocks. Going with a tight clutch should only be done out of necessity.

At the least you should find someone with a 6-puck around you (any car will do) and see what it's like.

There are 8-puck clutches out there. But then again, they aren't dirt cheap like the 6-pucks.

Well getting use to it will go along with getting used to the Fidanza flywheel.

I don't want a stiffer clutch, my clutch has always been stiff since day one. I've driven some other SR20's with a much softer clutch haha. I will take a look and see if something is rubbing against the cable.

The idea is to use my current Pressure Plate, which is midcore, with a higher rating clutch disc, which should result in 300 ft-lbs which I should never have to worry about reaching.

I'm already 20 ftl-lbs (crank) over my clutche's specification, so not sure how much longer it will hold, especially with my goal to go to 250whp.

I'm thinking the midcore PP that I'm using shouldn't be as harsh on the clutch/engine/tranny as an Extreme one would be.

You're right about the pressure plate, and I see what you're doing trying to mix and match (which is fine). I'd just rather spend a bit more money and get something more livable. But you do what you have to do.

More livable would be SE Disc or the current disc I have and XT pressure plate?

That's a question for someone else who has experience with both. Sorry I can't help. =/

I have done that and it works great B15 disc and ACT Xtreme PP ...
