Don't bandaid a clutch disk by putting unnecessary pressure on it to get it to hold. This will only cause more stress on your TOB, cable, and thrust bearings.

I have had several 6-pucks and they performed way better than the ACT HDSS I had, and engagement was still perfectly smooth. No chatter at all.

You can have a pivot-point change on the PP to get more clamp and still feel nearly stock, but most clutch companies go the cheap route and just put in a heavier diaphram spring.

a 6-puck will hold a lot of power. Around 320wtq without any issues. Mine held 350wtq.

Coheed that's exactly my reasoning for not wanting a heavier duty pressure plate. Plus I like my foot.

I'm going with a 6 puck sprung disc. Just need to find a company. Not ACT, I've been calling Clutch Specialties with no avail.

I really wouldn't mind another Exedy clutch, but in 6 puck form, not 3 puck that they have. A buddy of mine just told me about Grip Force, they are a sub company of Exedy, so they might work too.

if you don't want act then I would go Clutch Masters. I have run all three clutches you have mentioned in different se-r's. I had a clutch masters in my 96 200sx and I destroyed the tranny 1,2,3rd gear(my fault). I have the act xtss setup in the turbo car 5 years and still running strong on the stock tranny. I have the Jwt pp/se disk combo on the ve car stock oem tranny.

Pic 1, 2.

That thing looks like new. Minty fresh still I bet. If you don't plan on using it, sell it to someone else who wants a used, but maybe 95% life left used clutch. Don't throw it away.

That's what I was thinking. Also +1 for Clutchmasters and a Miko bar.

I plan on selling it with my stock PP, it would be prefect for DE/VE guys, probably would rate at 180ft-lbs.

I wouldn't keeping it, I'm just not really enthusiastic about taking the tranny off the third time

Hmmm. So you couldn't get ahold of Brian. I just talked to him and he is extremely busy right now. I will get ahold of him again though and we can figure something out if you want to go that route. About the only holdback there is that your clutch would be made how you want it, and it takes a bit longer because it is made for you. But either way, there are tons of companies that can supply a disk that is quality for a decent price.

I'll try again tomorrow .

I'm looking to spend around $100 for a disc that will get me to 300 ft-lbs. The ACT is $125 at GoFastDepot. Other brands should be a bit cheaper.
