My thoughts, when combined with $1 will get you a cup of coffee, is why bother? Use water injection. Better yet, take the idea of ultra low temps, and simply dump ice into your water injection tank Oooh, I think I'm gonna try that lol

so if I were to bypass my a/c compressor I would regain 30 WHP? I didn't think the number would be the high.

i wouldnt look for alot of power gains with this kind of setup, however i do think a cooler charge of air could help with tuning the car, but as far as power is concerned i dont see this being a huge gain

if you have air to water then you could make some sort of chillerbox setup with an electric minifridge/small window unit compressor in the trunk. I've done this to chill a water cooled PC to waay below ambient temp, would be interested to see how it works in a car :o

KillerChiller

Us Ford guys love them!
some guys with KB 2.6-2.8 blowers see over 50 deg lower Ait at the end of a 10 sec run then with out and start out lower than ambient temp.

Just throwing in a quickie. I honestly dont think its worth doing... UNLESS you can find a way or use a compressor that wouldnt rob as much power, ie easier to spin. I see it this way, you probably wont need it to get as cold as you would for the cabin as youre just chilling air in a pipe, so why not use a smaller compressor that wont need to work as hard and in turn wont steal away as much power. Most compressors will kick on and off as it is, showing that they are more than up to the task. Good luck finding one in the car world though.
