true that, i know the feeling, haha, What made it worse was when i actually went from stock wheels with 195's on them to a lighter wheel with 205's, brand new tires as well compared to almost bald 195's. Weird yeah 1-3 at 407whp are useless, Even on the track for me on slicks 1-3rd i could not full throttle without just pounding the rev limiter. Sucked that was at 461whp.

On the street it was still trying to break the tires apart all the way through 4th, but being my car is soo light it still pulls soo hard which i think is why its not breaking them loose more than it is. But strong numbers and i was wondering if i was gonna see this thing up and running soon. Glad to finally see the beast out and about. Insane work guys.

That's really weird. My stock ignition wouldn't hold anything over 360whp without blowing out spark with the plugs gapped down to .18.

What are the specs on the turbo? I'm taking it it's the SC61 with the .70 comp cover. What is exhaust a/r? when do you see full boost on both boost levels? I'm thinking of going with a sc61 but only shooting for high 400whp maybe right at 500whp. but dont' want extreme lag. Was thinking of looking for a 3076 but i know i'll have to push that turbo abit to get it to 500whp.

it also depends on efficiency, from my past setups i noticed that with increased inefficency with a turbo will cause the spark to blow out as well. Like when i ran 21psi on my s15 t28 it didnt want to hold spark with the plugs at .28, cut out like a mother. But now with the 60 trim with the bigger .82 turbine housing its much more efficient and again went up to 24psi of boost. Could have gone well up to 30psi probably and been fine. The guy dynoing is using a stock ignition on his gtir motor making 500+ as well.

I ran my stock ign. setup to 400+whp at .028" gap on 7's.

BTW, depending on your setup, you'll hardly push the 30r at all. I made 411whp at 11psi on a .82 A/R 3076r. 500whp should be easily achieved

Built bottom end, built head no porting though, haven't decided on cams yet, either BC stg3 or C2's. Protech log mani, stock intake mani, Enthalpy tuned ecu with afc2. I think i would have to push it to get to 500whp

You will have to push a 30r decently to make 500whp.....Tekkie I don't think your 411whp at 11psi is the norm.... its smaller then a 61, and I was not making 411 at at 11lbs. Im making 455 at 19, which is pretty decent.....

I have seen tekkies graph in my hand its the real deal. He also has a protech eql mani, built bottom end, built head almost and 02 induction mani. That car is an animal and will be above 500whp on 20psi easily.

He isn't questioning tekkie's power... I've explained to Clifton why his car made what it did and not to expect the moon.

Also I keep hearing about all these useless 3rd gears; I think alot of you guys need to look at tires/wheels/suspension/gearing/differentials a whole lot more... If you are under 500whp you shouldn't be spinning 4th and 3rd should hook but spin slightly (good concrete road, with street tires). I know this is true first hand for the B13, B15, and Sr20 into a Mazda MX3 chassis.

I used to spin 3rd like it was worthless in B15 chassis at low 300whp... Now sitting right under 500whp daily and it hooks just fine. Switched to P11 FD, nismo LSD, and alignment changes made the difference.

I will agree with you on this, my suspension is getting changed out for something better for sure.... i have the p11 trans also, but my tires and wheels are getting changed for sure.....Let me clarify that Im not completely lighting up my tires in third and fourth, but full throttle they break loose pretty easily. I do need to feather the throttle a decent amount. But its still fun
