Thread: maf questions

tryed searching but nothing came up.

i wanted to know this because im putting my turbo kit together since the GA16 blew and the sr20 is just sitting .

i just wanted to know if the stock sr20 maf would be good for 8-10 psi.
or should i just save up a lil more and get the 300zx maf.

i will have the supporting mods. 370 inectors, 255 fp, afpr and 93+ octane


i have a 1g DSM maf in my basement would that be any good as well.

also would like to konw that i will be useing the stock sr20 ecu and will be tuning it with FMU or SAFC. i dont have money to get the other ecu out there so this is my only choice.

anybody on here use the maf with safc.

i used it on my 1g and it worked fine with a 16g.

Stock MAF supports 250whp. Bored DE MAF supports 290whp.

Since using the stock MAF, I don't believe you need to do any scaling with the SAFC (maf in/out settings). Just need it for fuel, since stock ECU is for 259cc injectors, and you'll be running 370's.

Bottom line: MAF is fine. SAFC is fine for tuning fuel.
