Thread: what bov are you running?

Tekkie have you seen the new SSQV? My BOV doesnt even get hot. HKS actually put heat fins on teh BOV its self on the "3rd Generation"! Plus with the air flow my BOV gets Im not really worried about it.

1st gen HKS SSQV here. Running it on my draw thru setup vented to atmosphere with absolutely no problems. On my B13 before this one I had a Greddy Type S of course.

Cool then I haven't seen the V3 SSQV. I actually contemplated as to whether or not to even to with the V2, but Bruce over at Protech said it was a highly used BOV that he sold with his systems. He's obviously been in the business for some time, so I took his word for it. I'm sure not to be disappointed.

That's really nice that they built the BOV with a heat sink design. I'm sure it's definitely fine, then

i agree if you run low boost with the type is it will be hard to adjust it just right to not get compressor surge....i am running 8.5psi and cannot adjust it loose enough to not get compressor surge. its kinda annoying

Rumor has it they are no different than the HKS, they use the same piston type setup, but they are also new, so only time will tell how good they really are. They sound badass though!!!!!
