Two 12" fans, or one?
Okay guys, some of you already know that I'm going to upgrade to a GT3076R series turbine when I get home.

So the question is, 2 fans or 1? Before I left, the T25 was just fine with one OEM fan pulling, and a z32 cap, on a stock radiator.

Thoughts?

One question, are you running AC?

Regardless, in my opinion... If you can fit them, there's nothing wrong with running two fans... you can keep it simple wire them both to the driver side connector so they come on at the same time... or wire them to a switch. If you run them both as pushers you can save a lot of space behind the radiator...

No sir, no A/C in THIS baby

I was thinking exactly what you had mentioned, running both fans off of the DS connection. I am actually going to wire them plug and play, so I don't butcher my harness. I was thinking about running them as pushers, but I don't know which I'll do, until I see how fitment is going to be with the Protech EL manifold.

Yeah, with no AC, you can pretty much put them where you want... pushers will work well.

If your a chief, you can find a fan connector off of a junkyard car... and wire the fans to the stock connector... and connect it like OEM! Then hide the wiring in the support...

or is that what you were talking about when you said plug and play? You big baller you.

I have a new arrangement I'm trying out, using a 14" Fluidyne fan as a pusher on the condenser, and a stock fan as a puller on the drivers side of the radiator.

The 14" is shoehorned in and is a really tight fit (NX), its rated at 2850 CFM which is quite a bit of air from one fan. The thing sounds like a WWII air raid siren winding up when it kicks on.

the reason I opted to do the pusher and puller method is b/c virtually every German car runs a similar set up so I figured why not try it.

2 fans , it allways helps to keep our sr20s cool, especialy when boosted.

Run em both if you can fit it for sure. We never run just 1 on the rwd unless it is 14" or bigger with a min flow of 2500cfm.

how is the fitment in your car? im running the dual core full sized radiator with dual flexalite fans, and ended up having to mount the fans on the bumper side of the radiator, alot of custom cutting and stuff like that becuase it was a no no trying to mount the fans on the other side. just no room

Go with two 12"ers pushing. Never hurts to have a cool engine, plus extra room in the bay is always nice. And get a wrap for your compressor to help keep the temps down.
